Teach your puppy to sit in 5 minutes

“Sit Chance! Gooood booooy!!!”

Taught Chance how to sit tonight after a 5 minute lesson. How did he learn so quick? Here are 5 easy steps to get your puppy to sit!

🌟 Wear out your puppy. I played games with Chance for about 45 minutes first so he could get out some of that puppy energy.

🌟 Find their currency. Chance loves Bil Jac training treats.

🌟 Assume the position. Get on their level and then move the treat from in front of them to slowly over their nose and then head. Let them sniff the treat first if they need to.

🌟 Be patient. They’ll follow the treat by lifting their nose up in the air and eventually it’s to far over their head it’ll force their lil butt to the ground. You may have to tap their butt down the first few times.

🌟 Act and praise fast!!! The minute their tush hits the ground… “Goooood boyyyy… that’s SIT!!” And reward with the treat immediately.

Extra tip: Puppies have short attention spans. Each lesson should be no more than about 5 minutes at a time.
